There will be 2 rounds of Round Robins followed by a Semi and a Final
Each team will be assigned a team number (teams 1-9)
Team numbers will be drawn at the start of games.
There will be 3 groups of 3 teams.
There will be two rounds of round-robin.
Based on team number drawn – Each team will be assigned to a group and play the other two teams within their group in the following way:
Round 1 Round Robin
Group 1: Teams 1,2,3
(team 1 plays team 2, team 2 plays team 3, team 1 plays team 3)
Group 2: Teams 4,5,6
(team 4 plays team 5, team 5 plays team 6, team 4 plays team 6)
Group 3: 7,8,9
(team 7 plays team 8, team 8 plays team 9, team 7 plays team 9)
Round 2 Round Robin
Group 1: Teams 1,4,7
(team 1 plays team 4, team 4 plays team 7, team 1 plays team 7)
Group 2: Teams 2,5,8
(team 2 plays team 5, team 5 plays team 8, team 2 plays team 8)
Group 3: 3,6,9
(team 3 plays team 6, team 6 plays team 9, team 3 plays team 9)
The format of each match will be the following:
1 Singles and 2 doubles tie-breakers.
Tie-breakers to 11 points win by 2.
All players must play once.
The captains will coin toss for who chooses the first match.
The winner of the coin toss can decide what the first match will be – they can choose any ranked player to play the opponent’s team same rank players. For example:
The coin toss winner can choose the first match to be a singles match between players ranked number 3 on each team.
The losing coin toss captain can choose the second match to be a Doubles match with players ranked 2 and 4 (since 3 already played singles).
In this scenario the final match will be a Doubles between players ranked 1 and 5.
Each player must play once.
The 4 teams with the best record will go to the Semifinals.
The following criteria listed in order of importance will be used:
Matches won-loss deferential
Tie breakers won-loss deferential
Points win-loss deferential
Head to head if all other criteria is the same.
The Semi-Finals and Finals will be Played the same way but each tie breaker will be to 15.
